アシックと呼ばれています。直訳で「オーストラリア証券投資委員会」となります。ASICは、オーストラリアの企業、市場、金融サービス、消費者の金融に関しての政府の独立した統合規制機関でASIC法（ Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 ) に基づいて運用され、会社法（ Corporations Act. ）を基本に業務を行っています。ニュース等で時々耳にされるかと思いますが、会社、会社のCEO、取り締まり役などがASICに訴えられたりしています。
日本の「証券取引委員会」, アメリカのSecurities and Exchange Commission、略称: SECに近いと思われます。以下はCBA（コモンウェールス銀行）がASICに「Monthly fee」について誤った行為をした事で訴えられたニュースです。このようにして我々消費者は守られています。
